1. How do you keep social media from running your life? Is it a struggle for you? Any social media management tips?
It is a struggle for me to not allow social media to be my main focus. With the ease of it all sitting right on my phone beside me at all times, I have to choose to remain in the moment a lot of times instead of hopping on social media anytime I get bored.

Annie Downs: Gadget and App Recommendations

Annie is another example of a successful blogger who doesn’t spend all her time keeping up with the latest technology. She also shares some great apps that haven’t been shared yet. I think a key takeaway is to focus your energy on making the most of the tools that are working for you and not wasting time looking for the “perfect solution.” Just sitting down and blogging is more effective than the most techie app or gadget.

How They Blog: Annie Downs

I’ve known Annie just about as long as I’ve known anyone in this blogging world. I even remember the first post I ever read on her blog. It was about going to a cooking class with a friend. After reading just that one post, I told Jimmy (my husband) what a hilarious and great writer she was.

A few years later, she is now a well known blogger, a published author and a national speaker. Annie is one of the most friendly, fun people you’ll ever meet and I’m pretty sure she knows everyone on the face of the planet.
