Blogging balance is not about doing it all, it’s about knowing what works for you and what you do best.

Anne Bogel is on the show with me today and we are talking about how blogging fits in between her job, being a wife and mom and homeschooling.

Whether all or none of those labels apply to you, you’ll be able to glean good tips from the insight she shares about balance, decision making and prioritizing.

  1. I love Anne’s blog…one of my favorites. I enjoyed listening and hearing the behind the scenes. 🙂

  2. I enjoyed the podcast other than the fading in & out of Anne’s part – it almost sounded like a call or text kept “beeping in.” I tried backing out of the podcast and loading it again but had the same issue. Thank you Kat for sharing these stories with us.

  3. it has been a delight to listen to this! And so encouraging in my blogging. “professionals just sit down and write…” glad to have found your site!

  4. Hey Kat! I love your podcast. I have a quick question. I’ve been blogging for a long time – like 5 years. But I’ve seen my friends online really take off and make it a writing career, and I just haven’t yet. Part of that I think is because my blog has a very narrow niche – single women and mentoring single women – but my hope is that it leads to speaking/writing opportunities.

So with that said, I think I need to get in a mastermind group. However, I need one with some experienced, seasoned bloggers to help me. I’m afraid of starting one myself because I think mostly newer bloggers will be interested, and I don’t have time to coach them. So my question is – do you think it’s rude to put posts in blogging groups for a mastermind group with veteran bloggers? How do you find a group that has some seasoned bloggers when they’re probably already in one themselves?

  5. Hi Kat, I’m new to your podcasts but I am already a big fan. Thanks for all the inspiration. You are doing truly valuable work. I enjoyed hearing from you on the Art of Simple podcast and I’m glad I finally looked you up. Keep it up please!

  6. Anne’s blog is one of my favs, so I super enjoyed this episode. I especially like what she said about prioritizing growing as a writer & building community. And I could listen to MBTI talk for a good while :).

  7. SO happy to find another blog to follow. This behind the scenes ‘post’ was great!

  8. Is the podcast no longer available? Or am I just missing the link?

  9. Listening to this presently! I find myself connecting to a lot of what she is saying! Do you mind if I share a link to this in a post I’m about to write about why I started blogging?
